CRAZY LIXX NEW RELIGION reviews

Specialists/collaborators reviews

Stephen
Crazy Lixx flew their flag high with the sensational debut, "Loud Minority" in 2007, and now came along "New Religion" in 2010 to strengthen their follower's faith and capture a new audience throughout a high quality output of melodic hard rock. These twelve songs will take you back to the time where bands like Def Leppard, Poison, Skid Row, and Danger Danger ruled the stadium and arena and flooded TVs and radios with a bunch of their hits. The vital points of the band is on the singer Danny Rexon whose voice is like a mix of Joe Elliot and Blackie Lawless and the axeman Andy Dawson, a very good guitarist with many flaming riffs and killer solos.

Starting from the Steelheart-meets-Skid Row uptempo style of "Rock and a Hard Place" and Unskinny-Bop groove intro with some classic Def Leppard chant of "My Medicine", Crazy Lixx will stunned you with a non-stop fist pumping glorious hard rock tunes. "21 'Til I Die" and "Blame It On Love" are the sparkling jewels of the album, it's hard to hate a well-constructed songs like that. "Children of The Cross" has a very memorable chorus, "Lock Up Your Daughter" is a wonderful midtempo glam metal, "She's Mine" is wrapped tight with a party splash riffage, and the huge passionate ballad, "What of Our Love" probably reminds you of Aerosmith's "What It Takes" hit.

It's almost impossible to look for even single filler here. Danny Rexon, the mastermind behind all songs, really knows how to put up a superb arrangement. "New Religion" is a blasting release that tossed Crazy Lixx high to the air. This one totally deserved a perfect five-star from me, a phenomenal release, and a job perfectly done!
