Ten thousand years ago, the world was torn asunder when the Well of Eternity blasted the supercontinent of Kalimdor apart. Despite this, Illidan Stormrage sought to create another Well out of fear that the Burning Legion would one day return. His brother Malfurion and Tyrande Whisperwind were more fearful of the Well’s power for destruction and Illidan’s rage than the return of the Legion. Illidan was locked away for ten thousand years by his own brother.
