Welt was a death metal band from Long Island, New York.
Formed in 1993, Welt was originally set up as a side-project by Doug Cerrito and Doug Bohn of Suffocation. The band released their demo EP Paranoid Delusion in 1994 before breaking up some time later.
In 1996 four members of the band went on to form doom metal outfit Iron Lung.
