THE TROOPS OF DOOM picture
The Troops of Doom is a Brazilian death metal band put together by former Sepultura guitarist Jairo "Tormentor" Guedz.

Guedz left Sepultura in 1987, having tired of playing death metal. However, he continued with a career in music, playing in various bands including Overdose, Eminence, and The Mist, of which he is still a member. The Troops of Doom play a combination of old school 1980s death metal, and early Sepultura covers.

The Troops of Doom released their debut EP "The Rise of Heresy" in 2020.
