After some line up changes to the Australian proto-metalers, Buffalo after thier 1975 release, "Only Want You For Your Body", guitarist John Baxter, supposedly fired teamed up with Buffalo's vocalist, Alan Milano to form Southern Cross. Baxter quit the band after some musical differences and the band released thier self - titled debut in 1976 and the members went thier seperate ways. Fantastic melodic hard rock.
