IN MORPHEUS' ARMS is a progressive metal band from Duisburg in Germany. In Morpheus' Arms started life in early August 2002 in a music pub in Muelheim a.d.R., when Holger Kalff (Drums), Mira Kohli (Guitar & Vocals) and Sascha Gutkowski (Guitar) decided to pool together as a band. By fluke, Mira knew a bass player and Andreas Hain completed the first lineup. Soon they rented a rehearsal room. As it was the first band for all of them, they agreed to play cover songs for the time being. As the first gigs came closer, they began the search for a suitable bandname and after a long period of searching they chose "Culdesac". After they were quite successful as coverband they decided to begin writing their own material, that they played mixed with cover songs at some gigs.
