Dismal (later, The Dismal) was a death metal band from Pontevedra, Galicia, Spain. Originally a death metal band playing metal in the vein of bands like Supuration & Loudblast, they changed their style to something much more commercial.
Dismal's metal years were from their formation in 1993 until later in 1994, after which they adopted a melodic hardcore style. Within their metal period, Dismal released a demo and two split EPs.
