CONCRETE PROPHET is an American progressive metal band. Concrete Prophet was formed in 2005 in Baltimore, Maryland by Michael Passen (bass), Kevin Boening (Guitars) and Brian Dobbs (Drums) while studying at Peabody Conservatory and Berklee College Music. The band invited Mike Newberry to take on vocals.
Mike Newberry described their music as, "We make stripped-down progressive metal. We balance musical literacy with widespread appeal" . Concrete Prophet recorded a self-titled three-song EP in 2007 with Pete Laramee as a guest bass player. With Mike Newberry departing the band, guest vocalists were used on their follow-up EP, Proof Of Concept, released in 2012.
