Caladan Brood is an US epic/atmospheric black metal act from Salt Lake City, Utah formed in 2008. The band released their debut full-length studio album "Echoes of Battle" in 2013.
Caladan Brood takes their name from the character from Canadian author Steven Erikson's Malazan Book of the Fallen fantasy series, which also serves as the inspiration for their lyrics and is the source from which the two musicians of the band took their stage names, Shield Anvil (Keyboards, Vocals, Guitars, Bass, Programming) and Mortal Sword (Vocals, Guitars, Keyboards).
