Blackout are a Brooklyn based doom metal/stoner trio. They formed in 2011 when one legged guitarist/vocalist Christian Gordy met drummer Taryn Waldman and they began jamming with no clear musical direction and naturally drifted into and developed a doom/stoner/sludge style of metal. They recruited on bass friend Justin Sherrell and in late 2012 recorded their debut album “We Are Here” at Vacation Island Studio. March 2015 saw the release of their second self-titled album.
