AVERON picture
Averon is one of the few doom bands to incorporate keyboards into the fold. Thier first release, Serenity(1997) was more in framework of traditional metal with a tinge of goth and European power metal. It was the band's second release, An Echo From Beyond(1999), epic doom rises above but still keeping some of the European power metal influences with the keys and power chords that add a grandeur ambience more than a suffering since of sound. One of few doom bands to have keys and pull it off. The second album is highly recommended. Sadly, nothing has been heard from the band since that release.
