Akb'al is a four-man progressive metal band from Cardiff in Wales.

Akb'al incorporates different cultures' classical music styles on their recorded material, combining this with influences from progressive rock, metal, and stoner rock.

Akb'al delivers an ambient, progressive, musical journey with a powerful, heavy metal sound. The band explores the darkness and light of the political, social, psychological, and spiritual elements of human reality and the journey from the darkness of ego addiction to a more awakened state.

Akb’al cites The Witches Drum, Ten Cent Toy, Thorun and Tool as influences.
