Akakor was a Canadian technical death metal / death-grind band from Calgary in Alberta, formed in 2008.
Akakor released a demo EP, Human Sacrifice, in 2010. The band split up in 2013.

Akakor was started near the end of 2008 when Brian on drums and Rory on guitar started jamming together after the demise of their previous band Nusquam Esse. Eliane had previously jammed with Brian in another short lived project and so she hoped into the mix on bass. Craig was the last piece of the puzzle to enter on guitars and vocals.
Drawing from many influences to create a weird mix of Technical Death Metal and Grindcore they have played many a show, successfully flipped a van over a highway and will continue to rip it up no matter the obstacles!
