AEGIR picture
Viking metal band Aegir first formed in 2000 under the name Aeolian Wind and then were briefly known as Bereaved in 2001 before settling on Aegir, which was when they released their first demo, Frostnatt. They band then went on hiatus until 2004 and were active again until 2005, but produced no further releases before going on a second hiatus. Aegir reactivated again in 2006, however no further releases have been made and the band's status is currently unknown.
