Acropolis is a trance inspired progressive power metal band from Tel Aviv, Israel. The band was originally known as Area 51 and was formed in 2001. Area 51 became Acropolis in 2002.
Acropolis were originally active between 2002 and 2004. In that time they released a single demo release, Hear the Devil Comes (2003). They were then on hold until 2006.
Restarted, the band released their first EP, The Aftermath (2008). An internet single, New Dimension (2011) followed, but The Aftermath remains to date the most recent actual release of the band.
