1000 Funerals was an Iranian funeral doom metal/dark ambient act, originally briefly active in 2005 which produced the debut album Portrait of a Dream.
The band was reactivated in 2010 by Hamid Avinar Malekzadeh Asl who formed a new line-up, a duo of which the other member was Haamoon, and released a second album, Butterfly Decadence, in 2011. The band since folded a second time.
