NASCENT is a progressive metal duo from Boston, Massachusetts. Nascent coalescenced in late 2005 as a collaboration between Jeff Briggs and Libor Hadrava. Initially conceived as a one-off project, the music started coming together and the territory seemed worth exploring further. A demo turned into a full-length album. A project turned into a band. They finished their self-produced full length in late 2006 and released it in January 2007.
In September 2009 Nascent began intermittent sessions for a new album. Methods for Detection, Analysis, and Isolation, still to be released. {Biography edited from the band's website}
