For Immediate Release: Ambient Progressive Metal Band Oceans of Night release new CD, MINDSTORM.
Ambient, progressive metal band Oceans of Night have just released their 4th CD, MINDSTORM - featuring 12 tracks of crushing modern metal with progressive leanings, wrapped in lush ambient textures over which multiple vocalists press their soaring voices into your memory. Lead by multi-instrumentalist and composer Scott Mosher, MINDSTORM continues on the musical path they have forged over the past decade, with music that affirms that same atmospheric-laden progressive metal they've mined on previous releases. Perhaps heavier, certainly more progressive, but just as evocative and dynamic, Oceans of Night continue to evolve with the addition of new vocalists Derosnec, April Rach, and Pablo Zuccalá, joining stalwart vocalist Scott Oliva, on a sonic journey in to the deeper realms of ambient progressive metal. Mixed and mastered by Apple sonic guru Eric Stolz, MINDSTORM also features a special guest appearance by keyboardist extraordinaire Vivien Lalu (Lalu, Shadrane, Hubi Meisel). With over an hour of music that pushes boundaries and bridges worlds, Oceans of Night remain dedicated to exploring the sonic limits of metal music by any means necessary, by living on the edge of a confluence of musical styles Who is Oceans of Night? As the enigmatic and mysterious name suggests, Oceans of Night is equal parts progressive metal and modern rock wrapped around powerful vocal melodies and evocative guitar work served with a distinct ambient flavor. Conjuring epic and dynamic music with an cinematic twist, each Oceans of Night release is a dramatic musical experience that demands your undivided attention. Through the course of 7 CD’s - each making a powerful musical statement - multi-instrumentalist and composer Scott Mosher has bridged the worlds of progressive metal, melodic hard rock and ambient sounds to create an experimental yet complimentary style of music that is at once as subtle as it is powerful, aggressive as it is dynamic and timeless as it is modern. Thanks in advance for checking us out. |
