Two tracks in and I'm already hearing some power metal, so that's always a good sign! It definitely sounds more like Anima and what I heard of their debut, compared to the more modern sound they tried on Unreal and especially The New Eve. Edit: Yeah, this is definitely a huge return to form, possibly even better than Anima, on first listen. Either way, it's a full on return to their old sound, with a ton of power metal, and man, going back to try and listen to New Eve after this shows how much weaker that album was in comparison (especially that godawful opening track )

It´s been a while since I´ve listened to Behemoth, and I´ve almost forgotten how brilliant they are. I´ve however purchased tickets to see them in November with Arc Enemy, Carcass, and Unto Others, so I better catch up on some listening:
I´m not particularly familiar with the last couple of Behemoth releases (except The Satanist), so I´ll have to give them a listen before the concert. I don´t really need to listen to any Arc Enemy releases, as they are usually pretty formulaic vers/chorus songs and easy to listen to even if you don´t know them by heart. I´m intimately familiar with everything Carcass, so don´t really need to listen to more of them, and I´ve listened to the debut album by Unto Others (when they were called Idle Hands), so I know a bit of their catalogue too. http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/album/behemoth/the-satanist

http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/album/spheric-universe-experience/back-home Only just started but sounding really promising so far! I've checked out bugger all 2022 albums so far; I really need to get on that.

^On my fifth listen of that myself. And yeah, it's fantastic. I'm at around 60 albums listened to for 2022 so far, which is the best pace I've been at in this point in the year for several years, now.

I'm well behind. I've heard precisely 5 2022 albums including SUE.
