 Easily their best album in over 2 decades, imo. Almost every track here is great, and the band sounds more energized than they have in ages.

I know you listen to a ton of different kinds of music, just surprised to see you listen to SA, that's all. They are one of the few euro-power bands I enjoy. Good band.

 People always think I only listen to thrash and death metal, but I actually started my heavy metal listening career being a great fan of Bon Jovi (Back when New Jersey was their latest album). I´ve had my progressive metal and power metal periods too, so I actually have quite an eclectic taste in metal (and in music in general). So everthing from The Beatles to Napalm Death has my interest if I hear quality. Sonata Arctica is for example quite a brilliant Euro power metal act IMO. I saw them live supporting Stratovarius and Rhapsody (later Rhapsody of Fire) when they toured in support of their debut album, and I was blown away by their energy, strong performances and melodies, and especially by Tony Kakko. |
