I listened to both "Dance of December Souls" and "Brave Murder Day" around the time when they were released ( maybe a few years later), but I was coming out of my doom/ death phase and into my progressive metal phase at the time, so they did little for me back then. It wasn�t until I picked up "Viva Emptiness" around 2003 - 2004 that my interest in Katatonia was really ignited. I�m quite a big fan these days of all periods of the band�s discography but "Viva Emptiness" is still my favorite so it got my vote.

Viva used to be my favourite until they released TGCD. Their best album. I've reviewed it some time ago.
