I listened to both "Dance of December Souls" and "Brave Murder Day" around the time when they were released ( maybe a few years later), but I was coming out of my doom/ death phase and into my progressive metal phase at the time, so they did little for me back then. It wasn�t until I picked up "Viva Emptiness" around 2003 - 2004 that my interest in Katatonia was really ignited. Viva used to be my favourite until they released TGCD. Their best album. I've reviewed it some time ago.
