That Amorphis album was disappointing, maybe it's because I'm not a fan of melodic death metal apart from Arch Enemy and early In Flames, but I found it pretty boring. Also I hate the synth, only liking it as a background instrument for the most part, and especially hating it when it's used in a death metal album.

I agree about the Amorphis album, not sure why it's considered a classic. They have done much better stuff later.
I backed this on the strength of the previous work, but so far this seems even better. I think my faith in progressive metal is being restored here: it may even go straight to the top of my 2016 list.
The campaign only has two weeks left to run and is in desperate need of funds to be a success. It would be a real shame if this failed. Please consider giving it a listen and contributing if you can.
