Also, The Witch arrives on Netflix tomorrow.
Really hoping it doesn't suck.

I've started Vikings season 6 a couple of days ago. I have episode 4 on there ready to go now. So far it's been pretty good. Looks like there will be a two week gap now since the next episode would normally fall on Xmas Day in the US.

Have finally started watching Stranger Things s3. Several of my MILF fantasies from my teenage years almost came true with Mrs Wheeler...

The Expanse season 4 drops tomorrow. For the first time not being shafted on it in the UK, thanks to Amazon Prime.
Also The Grand Tour returns. Clarkson, Hammond and May - better comedy than most modern sitcoms.

I do like Vikings but didn't enjoy season 5 as much as previous ones. The Last Kingdom is another one in that vein I enjoy. Hopefully be a 4th series soon.

Someone must really hate us Arrowverse fans in the UK. Not only is there still no sign of Batwoman, there's now no sign of the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover at all. Media outlets have reported that we will still get episodes 1 and 3 next week. This turned out to not be the case with the release of next week's tv guide.
If it's being held back to try to get the Batwoman fiasco sorted out, then fine, but I really don't know how it's going to be possible to avoid spoilers from the US. I already found out a major one just by trying to research when (or rather, if) we're even going to get to see any of the crossover in the UK now.

The trailer strikes me as being more typical for a supernatural horror movie, at least up until a point.

New Ghostbusters trailer, following on from the original continuity and ignoring the reboot. |

Re-watching Iron Man feels so weird after so many other MCU movies and seeing someone other than Don Cheadle playing Rhodey.

So apparently Vikings isn't ending after all with its next season (due to start airing in a couple of weeks) but will instead morph into a sequel show called Valhalla depicting a new chapter of viking history, set about 100 years later.

So apparently an as yet unknown 3rd party has swooped in under Sky's nose and acquired Batwoman's UK rights including episode 2 of the crossover event. And whoever it is is keeping schtum.
Some company in the TV world out there is clearly studying the book of Epic Games Store. And is doing so they have fucked up the biggest superhero event TV has ever had. I hope that someone, somewhere, is fucking proud of themselves.

So apparently this isn't Sky's fault - the US hasn't even given them the option to take the series. Instead they're holding it back from the UK for their own new platform which doesn't and won't exist within the next two weeks, causing chaos in December when the crossover starts because we will NOT be getting episode 2 of 5. The new platform will likely be another case for extra subscription fees on top of that. Give me one good reason to watch any of these shows this season now.

So unless they're leaving an announcement to the absolute last minute, it looks like the UK's Sky One is fucking up the Arrowverse this season. Reason? Batwoman. Absolutely no word on showing it even though Supergirl, Flash and Arrow all have known air dates in the UK now and Batwoman starts the same time as them in the US (a few days ago) and is supposed to take the second episode slot in the big crossover event this year.
It seems bloody odd if they haven't picked it up, but even odder if they have and haven't even announced anything about it yet, with Supergirl returning in under two weeks.

Scorsese's new film The Irishman is looking really promising. 100% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes; the long awaited reunion with De Niro and an epic length that goes further than even Casino at 209 minutes.
Here's the trailer. Dropping on Netflix toward the end of November, after a limited theatrical run.

I'm not really interested in the MCU, but that is lame, and it always sucks when fans essentially get screwed over, because some big corporate heads are too greedy over exactly how many millions of dollars they'll make off of something. It'll be funny to see how they retcon Spider Man out of future MCU movies, though, or how they retcon other characters out of Spider Man. What they should do: Have Spidey become cocky and think he needs to be paid a certain amount of money in order to help them, they refuse, and so they never help each other again. That would be accurate enough, I think

I'm starting to feel like the MCU may begin to crash and burn in Phase 4. Just learned that the Disney/Marvel and Sony deal has broken down and that Spider-man is going to be removed from all future MCU instalments (unless they reach a new agreement). Maybe they should really have just called the franchise a day with Endgame.

I'm generally against character resurrections because it cheapens their loss but I do tend to think that if there was one character in the Endgame line-up that they shouldn't have killed off...

The final season of Orange is the New Black drops today. It may be a little while before I start it though as I have a stack of films from ebay to watch and make sure they work. I'm excited for this one though. I'm expecting quite a change in pace of season 6's surprise ending.

Honestly not much gets an 18 rating these days. I mean look at Deadpool 1 & 2. There's no way those movies would have got away with only 15 a decade ago. I'd be happy with a 15 rated Blade (I think Blade Trinity was 15 rather than 18). Honestly I think the upcoming Black Widow movie should be 15 as well since it's supposed to deal much more in depth with the spy side of the character, but they already said that it had been ordered to be capped at 12.
I haven't seen Endgame yet and obviously not Far From Home either, although I know what happens in Endgame thanks to a prat on Facebook posting spoilers for it on completely unrelated posts on release day (I have managed to avoid Far From Home spoilers, so far though). Honestly given what I accidentally found out about Endgame I'm still having trouble reconciling with a certain character's demise given who one of the movies is about (we all probably know who I'm talking about but just in case someone else here hasn't seen it yet or had it spoiled...). Is this to mean that Phase 4 onward is just going to be disjointed with no new arc to follow the Infinity Saga? It seems weird to have this movie now given the events of Endgame.
