Feels great. I suffer from Astma and when I take up smoking Im fuckin doomed every time. Cant breath when I lie down and cant catch my breath when running for the bus or walking on stairs. Its a hard habit to break though and I would be lying if I said I didnt think about it every day, many times a day. But Im still holding onHeadbanger

I suffered a lot from asthma, too, when I was younger. But, hey, it saved me from being drafted into the army.

Fantastic Kim, me tooBig smile. I just received a letter that I should stay away from the draft sessionLOL. Too bad though. I was planning to drop acid, not take a bath for a full month and then go to the draft session in true The Doors style. As far as I remember from the bio on The Doors I read a couple of years back they actually did something like that and didnt get drafted. Back then it was of course serious business as those who got drafted served time in Vietnam.

I went to the draft session, because I received all the papers for all the paperwork quite late. It was an, erm, interesting experience. One way to avoid being drafted is to fail the intelligence tests they make you take, but I figured that a) I got good grades in school, so they wouldn't believe me and b) if I did fail the intelligence tests, then it would probably be archived somewhere in the system - and I wasn't too keen on the idea that an archive somewhere in the system saying that I was stupid. I remember the doctor trying to ask me all sorts of trick questions because, apparently, he didn't believe the document my own doctor had written stating that I was unfit for military duty (who knows, maybe they had some beef back in medical school), but I saw through his attempts at manipulating me, and managed to give him answers that exploited his own questions in such a way that his questions ended up working to my advantage. Anyway, I got through the draft session (I was the first one to get in and the first one to leave), and I didn't get drafted, of course, and when they realized that they had no choice but not to draft me, it really felt like I'd beaten the system... like, I'm smarter than those fucking military boy scouts - and it was all legit because I did suffer from asthma and allergies. I celebrated it with a slice of pizza, and actually had time to participate in my afternoon classes at school.

As a bonus, the guys who was after me and I managed to trick another guy into thinking that the doctor was going to jerk him off to check his sperm quality. The poor fellow pretty much panicked before he was called into the doctor's office.

Thanks Chris for making all the noise about Motorpsycho. After one listen of Heavy Metal Fruit I'm pretty impressed.

So I'm going through lists of metal albums coming out this year and putting them all in an Excel spreadsheet as a reminder to listen to them, so to broaden my horizons and make my AotY list for 2012 less of a joke than it was last year.  I'm really getting into it, too; I've got columns for the genres, the ratings I gave or will give them, if I reviewed them, and I even color-coded each one.  Funny how I have never once used Excel in a way that could be considered "fun" before now, because it was usually reserved for making graphs for science class, but I'm starting to realize how freaking smart and versatile this program is.

Or, I'm just super bored.
