Primus 3D Tour Location: Danforth Music Hall, Toronto, Ontario Canada
I just came back from the show, and had a blast! They may be getting up there in age, but they still know how to put on a great concert.
The 3D backdrop they used worked to good effect for most of the show, particularly when it kicked in during the opening song and during "Hamburger Train". Speaking of "Hamburger Train", they sure cobbled together an original setlist. They didn't play a ton of their bigger tunes (some of which like "My Name Is Mud" I suspect they played in the previous night's encore at the same venue), but that didn't really bother me. The deeper album cuts they chose more than made up for it. I would've removed at least one song from Green Naugahyde, but I'm glad they played "Jilly's On Smack" as one of them. There were probably a few other snippets of songs from other artists thrown in, but I definitely know Larry Lalonde played part of "The Trees" by Rush.
Setlist:
Part 1: Those Damn Blue Collar Tweekers Duchess and the Proverbial Mind Spread Extinction Burst Frizzle Fry Over The Falls Tragedy's A Comin' Bob Jerry Was A Racecar Driver
(Intermission, during which they played 4 enertaining Popeye black and white cartoons )
Part 2: HOINFODAMAN Dirty Drowning Man The Pressman Eternal Consumption Engine Jilly's On Smack Eleven (w/ drum intro) Del Davis Tree Farm Hamburger Train Harold On The Rocks
Encores: Fisticuffs Tommy The Cat
I idn't take any pictures because my camera stinks, and better ones will be floating around the internet.
