or Revenant: http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/revenant.aspx?ac=revena" rel="nofollow - http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/revenant.aspx?ac=revena
Really cool technical thrash metal acts...

Wow, you can download the mp3 version for like what, $8.99?

That's what I did a couple of years ago, anyways :o

Jag Panzer called it quits last year. Good band.
Savatage
Symphorce
After Forever

Pretty Little Suicide was pretty great, or at least the original lineup that put out their EP was... They'd been a revolving door since they got together, and finally called it quits this past spring.

Trophallaxy, to throw a recent one in. They didn't so much spilt but have decided to change their name and musical direction, even though most of the band have decided to keep playing together.

Kiuas also recently called it quits.

As did Sedulity.

Veni Domine and Sanctuary reunited and released albums last year, both good albums in my opinion. Clap

Morgana Lefay has also reunited. I am so hoping for a new album. I love Morgana Lefay. Maleficium is one of my favorite albums ever. Charles is the man.

Jag Panzer has also reunited.

Memento Mori was close to reuniting 4-5 years ago. Unfortunately it didn't work out. :( FANTASTIC band.

I'd recommend Grip Inc and Nevermore from the more recent years.
From the old days, shit, where to begin really. I'd say I am hoping for a Mercyful Fate reunion (again!), it's been too long!

Dark Angel  have reunited as well. Technically, Racer X hasn't split up as far as I know. In any case, Superheroes was GREAT fun.

As far as metal and hard rock goes:

Fight
Death
Led Zeppelin
Pantera
Nasum
Static-X
MindFunk
Mudvayne
White Zombie
Deathwish (Vastly underrated british thrash band with both of their albums being masterpieces.)

Not metal:

The White Stripes
Gentle Giant
Pink Floyd
The Suicide Machines

Didn't realise Dark Angel have reformed, I'll look forward to a new album from them. Clap

If Racer X haven't split up they're doing a very good impression of a band that has, their last album being 13 years ago. Wink

Yeah, new Dark Angel is definitely something to wait for. My only complaint is that I would have preferred if they got back together with Don Doty instead of Ron Rinehart but Jim Durkin wouldn't hear it.

Still, seeing them live is a dream. They were one of the best. Take a look at this:

I think they are playing in Bloodstock this year.

I´m  not sure Mercyful Fate is actually split-up. As far as I know, they are just taking an extented break. I´m sure Hank and King will do another run of Mercyful Fate albums and tours, when they feel like it.

Would it be alright if we also listed bands that may not have necessarily split up, but have at least not released anything in an extended amount of time? If so, then Lost Horizon! They are a good example...fantastic Swedish power metal!
