If anybody knows of some interesting internet-based podcasts, web series, chat shows, etc (audio or visual), feel free to share them here because I am always interested in finding some new ones.  Also include appropriate web links, descriptions, or good examples of the program you recommend.

I'll start with 2:

The Kevin Pollak Chat Show ( http://www.kevinpollakschatshow.com/" rel="nofollow - http://www.kevinpollakschatshow.com/ )- It's an internet chat show hosted by Kevin Pollak (charachter actor and standup comedian).  I'd describe it as similar to Inside The Actor's Studio but with more deviation and humour.  It includes audience interaction via Twitter.

Joe Rogan Experience ( http://www.joerogan.net/" rel="nofollow - http://www.joerogan.net/ )- A web series / podcast hosted by comedian/MMA commentator Joe Rogan.  While he talks to guests about their careers and lives, discussion usually deviates into discussion about current events, politics, health, lifestyle and philosophy.

My two favorites are The Non-Prophets and The Atheist Experience. Both are largely about religion from an atheistic perspective, and The Non-Prophets deals a lot with politics as well. If you're a fan of good arguments and debates, these are definitely worth checking out. Thumbs Up

I had a feeling these ones would be recommended by you. LOL

I think the only Atheist Experience I remember is one that Ray Comfort was on.  Those type of believer vs non-believer ones are only entertaining in small doses.  Those debates usually do little for me.  I'm not familiar with Non Prophets Radio.

Could you recommend a strong episode from either series?

Also, are there any ones that deal with the divides in opinions between atheists?  I was just taking about that with my brother today.

Each of the NPR episodes has a little description that may help you find one that you're looking for, but I remember episodes 9.12 and 10.2 (this one especially) being some of my favorites.

As for the Atheist Experience, I remember episode #761 (which deals with the all-too-common argument from ignorance) being one of my recent favorites. I've been listening to this podcast for around two years, and although I don't remember any episodes being exclusively about divides in opinion between atheists, that is a recurring theme through many episodes. I find the hosts having to remind callers that atheism only means 'lack of belief in a God' quite a bit! LOL

Joe Rogan also.  And there's a podcast called Psychedelic Salon and the guy basically plays tapes of Terrence McKenna.

I haven't listened to very many podcasts, but You Look Nice Today is one of my favorites too.

Reviving this old thread.Smile

I have been listening to a podcast called https://open.spotify.com/show/1EWcmMHJifquqiK1P1pxLo" rel="nofollow - Talking Bollocks hosted by Howard H. Smith, also known as H, the vocalist for Acid Reign. It's all about metal and has interviews with all sorts of metal people. Anyway, he has a thing where he asks people to send him an email from work. So I did, and he replied, which I was quite stoked about!

He also does https://motorhead.lnk.to/Motorcast" rel="nofollow - The Motorcast , which is all about Motorhead, done to mark the 40th anniversary of the release of Ace of Spades. Obviously none of the band members are still alive, but there are all sorts of cool people who get interviewed otherwise.

Another which is surprisingly good is Robb Flynn's https://gasdigitalnetwork.com/gdn-show-channels/no-fuckin-regrets/" rel="nofollow - No Fuckin' Regrets . He's an acquired taste, but I like his interviews, and he gets some fucking cool people too.

For non music podcasts, I have been working through https://www.historyofthegreatwar.com/" rel="nofollow - History of the Great War . It's a week by week breakdown of World War I. I'm up to the beginnings of the Gallipoli campaign in 1915. The guy doing it isn't a great speaker, but the subject material is fascinating to me.

I suspect a lot of people will have heard of https://www.dancarlin.com/hardcore-history-series/" rel="nofollow - Hardcore History . It's brilliant. This is the sort of stuff I always wanted to know at school when I first got interested in history. Unfortunately, it's a bit intermittent.

Another which I haven't listened to for a wee while is https://www.nosuchthingasafish.com/" rel="nofollow - No Such Thing As A Fish . It's done by the QI elves, and is hilarious as well as informative. I only stopped listening because Spotify was being a bitch and wouldn't work properly on my phone.

What's everyone else into?

My eldest son listens to (mainly politics and football) podcasts all day long. I've never really got into the habit myself, but I'll certainly check out your suggestions above Thumbs Up
