Can anybody think of bands that have been going for at least 15 years since the release of their first album, that have never had a line-up change.

On facebook I asked and got : Protest The Hero, Lamb Of God, Muse, Rammstein, Green Day and ZZ Top

Close calls were: Queen, Rush, Tool, Slipknot who only changed one person
and Metallica, who only changed bassists

Can you think of any ?

(Bands who go the opposite way include Annihilator, Megadeth and Cradle Of Filth.)

Queen never changed their line-up!

EDIT: Sorry, I forgot Paul Rodgers!

Yeah, plus the bassist retired.

Still. If you count actual Queen Queen, then they are change free.

Motorhead changed their line-up several times, but I think they are with the same members since 1992.

Blind Guardian have only changed a drummer once (since Bttalions of Fear), and that's after about 15  years.

Tr Cool has been in the band only since the second album, before that the drummer was John Kiffmeyer, aka Al Sobrante depending on the release.

Really ?
I thought John and Tre were the same person. I assumed he just changed his name after the whole 1039 Smothed Out Slappy Hours period to a stage name. I never even thought it was another person... which actually seems more obvious looking at it written down now, lol.

NoMeansNo went through some guitarist changes, but the bassist and drummer have been the same for 33 years.

If this counts, Dave Lombardo from Slayer did leave for a while and was replaced by a different drummer, but he eventually came back and the lineup today is still the original lineup.

I don't think Slayer really counts here, as Dave Lombardo did drop out a lot.

Gamma Ray had many changes in the early days but has been stable since 1997.

Megadeth still has Dave Mustaine. :p

Oh, and I think guys like Malmsteen get a pass, too, since he never let anyone else in on his thing to begin with....

Wait, that sounded weird..

Well... Megadeth has had more line-up changes so I wouldn't count them in.

LOL, I know, but he kind of IS Megadeth. Even though the group has had a ton of other great musicians, and even though the fact that he is the band is due to control issues (most likely), I thought I'd throw it out there! Anyway, you're right, they've had more lineup changes than most bands.

"Sal Abruscato" came out in 1994, came into place "Johnny Kelly" who stayed until the death of "Peter Steele" that resulted in the break-up. (Type O Negative)
