Hey folks, anyone going to ATP London's metal evening at the end of this month? I'm not going to the full weekend (much as I like Mogwai I don't like enough of the other bands on Saturday or Sunday to justify it) but I'm pumped for the Friday afternoon/evening set because it's got Slayer and Sleep - two bands I love - plus a bunch of bands I've been meaning to check out like Yob, Wolves In the Throne Room and the Melvins. Hm. Might have to make sure I wear ear protection for this one.

Melvins...yummi. Saw them last year and that was a really great experience. | Just heard that Jeff Hanneman is still in recovery from the spider bite and Gary Holt from Exodus is going to be standing in for him. Should be interesting - I hear Holt does a really good job there. |
