I like "Mad World" by Gary Jules, "American Pie" by Don McClean, and I also really like The Killers for some reason.

There are tons!!  I'll stick with ones that have lyrics for now.  Some cool ones off the top of my head include:
- "Sad Lisa" by Cat Stevens
- "Here Comes The Sun" by The Beatles
- "Easy Money" by King Crimson
- "Welcome To The Machine" by Pink Floyd
- "Woman of the World" by Michael Hedges
- "No Self Control" by Peter Gabriel
and so on and so forth.....

Yeah, this is a really broad topic for me.  It would take me a week to come up with a complete list, but here are some:

Explosions in the Sky - The Only Moment We Were Alone
Porcupine Tree - The Sky Moves Sideways Phase 1
This Will Destroy You - Killed the Lord, Left for the New World
Tangerine Dream - Stratosfear
Amon Tobin - Nightlife
Steve Roach - Reflections in Suspension
Rush - Grand Designs
Pink Floyd - A Pillow of Winds
God is an Astronaut - Suicide by Star
Saul Williams - List of Demands
Tycho - Dictaphone's Lament
Sum 41 - Angels with Dirty Faces (yeah, I know...)
Asia - Don't Cry
If These Trees Could Talk - Below the Sky
Oceansize - Women Who Love Men Who Love Drugs
...And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead - How Near How Far
Arcade Fire - No Cars Go
Lunatic Soul - Asoulum
Magic Pie - Full Circle Poetry
The Tangent - Skipping the Distance

Name any song by any of these artists, and chances are I love it.  Those tracks are just to give you an idea, I guess.

My favourite jazz band and my favourite track by them:

Bjrk, probably the first artist I was a fan of (I'm not sure, maybe it was Led Zeppelin). Anyway:

Ulver - All the Love

Fleet Foxes - Blue Ridge Mountains

Portico Quartet - Dawn Patrol

Antoine Dufour - A Hiding Place For the Moon

+lots of Opeth mellow stuff, Led Zeppelin (Since I've been Loving You etc.)

there are tons of them as I listen to a lot of 70s rock, progressive, hard rock , some 60s and even some pop.
Here are two bands I've recently discovered - the famous The Doobie Brothers which I gave a chance so late and the not so famous, unfortunately, German band Atlantis.
