"Imagine what Iron Maiden might have sounded like if they decided to
collaborate with Dimmu Borgir, and that should give you a vague idea as to
what this sounds like. [...] Definitely check it out if you're into the whole symphonic metal thing, you probably won't find anything like this from the scene this year."
Ian FlickDon't Count On It Reviews

What is Alpthraum?

Alpthraum is an independent Cinematic Symphonic Metal project from Montreal, Canada created in June 2009 and consisting of one member, Gustave G. ( and the open contribution of various talented musicians)

Alpthraum's music is influenced by real dreams, the human mind and the principle of surrealism. Dreams that can differ from reflective, harmonized and emotional to chaotic, dark and apocalyptic.

One promo album, "Dying Sun", was released in 2010. In 2011, Alpthraum released the ambitious full-lenght album "Eyes of a Monument". It featured a very atmospheric and surreal feel, a unique bombastic symphonic sound with heavy guitars and powerful drums.

Wanna know how Alpthraum sounds like?

The new album "Eyes of a Monument" consists of ten personal dreams carefully interpreted and projected in a symphonic metal form.
