Struck on this idea, thought it would be interesting to see what you all come up with.

Which musicians would be in your fantasy supergroup?

Rules of the Game:

  1. You need at minimum one guitarist, a bassist and a drummer.
  2. Any instrumentalist can doubled as a vocalist.
  3. You may have more than one lead vocalist or none (if your supergroup is instrumental).
  4. You can have up to three guitarists.
  5. Other instruments (keyboards, folk instruments, whatever) optional.
  6. No maximum number of members otherwise.
  7. State the genre you imagine they'd play.
  8. It doesn't matter how feasible the group would actually be, the members you name can even be deceased (R.I.P.). It's your fantasy supergroup and it's just a bit of fun.
Mine:

Vocals: Simone Simons
Guitar 1: Arjen Lucassen
Guitar 2, Vocals: Mikael Åkerfeldt
Bass: Dominic Lapointe
Keyboards, Acoustic Guitar, Additional Vocals: Neal Morse
Drums: Mike Portnoy

They'd play symphonic progressive rock/metal with Lucassen, Åkerfeldt and Morse as the primary composers. Åkerfeldt would sing both cleans and growls, Lapointe's bass will be his six string fretless, Morse will primarily be on keyboards but also handle any acoustic guitars and probably some additional singing but that will be primarily Simons and Åkerfeldt. I don't actually pay much attention to drummers, so I figure Portnoy's a safe bet.
