Hey folks! I've been posting reviews here for at least a year but I actually just logged into the forums for the first time... figured I'd give a formal introduction. Name's Cal, I go by SilentScream213 on most websites (RYM for example). I am also a solo artist under the name of Lycopene, I make New Age/SynthPunk with a lot of metallic sensibilities. I love Thrash, Death, and Doom Metal. The darker and moodier the better! In contrast, I do love Power Metal and some good cheese. Progressive and Neoclassical stuff is to my taste when it's not pure wankery. I rate very harshly on this site, because I am comparing Metal only to other Metal here! I truly love Metal in general though, and you'd notice my ratings are much higher when comparing to all other music on sites like RYM. Anyway, my reviews are purely my personal taste and opinion, I do not think any music is objectively bad, and I'm open to anything. Nice to meet you all!

| Hi Cal, it’s great to have you here. I’ve enjoyed your reviews (even if I’ve thought a couple of your ratings were a little harsh 😉). I think most of us here also have a fairly eclectic taste in music, which is reflected in our more inclusive approach to metal than some of the other sites around. And the more posters we have, the better this (too quiet at the moment) site is, so welcome 😁 |
