Hi, I'm mrblond and just joined the MMA website.

A long time music fan, I'm mostly in Hard Rock and Heavy Metal but also some neo-prog stuff, bluesy mood stuff and recently (the last decade) I'm highly obsessed by the Stoner genre.

I'm very interested in tours and gigs history. In addition, I can present myself as a researcher and kind of expert on music venues world-wide so I'd like to see a concert database in a place like this.
I've visited more than a 100 live events of internationally renown performers during the last 20-30 years.

Cheers!

Hello mrblond, I'm Vim Fuego and I have been here a very long time!

I'm more into the harder, faster end of metal, particularly thrash, death metal, and grindcore in it's full hideous spectrum. A concert database would be very interesting. I've lost count of how many shows I have seen, but most haven't been artists of international renown.Wink

Anyway, always good to see a new face here, so welcome and enjoy!

mrblond, welcome to MMA. I currently look after metalcore (and its derivatives), sludge and hardcore, although my taste is a lot wider than that.

A concerts database sounds intriguing. How would you see it working?

We can discuss this in some separate thread, if there is enough interest.

Welcome!

Is setlist.fm not the kind of thing you have in mind for a concert database?

Welcome to MMA.

....and yeah like Adam said the setlist.fm site is pretty cool. I´ve used it many times, as I was building my personal concert list on RYM (when I couldn´t remember dates and other details for the gigs I had attended: https://rateyourmusic.com/list/UMUR/artists-i_ve-seen-live/

Welcome! Happened to notice that you gave Point of Entry a 4.5, nice to see someone else who loves that album!

Very pleasant album with its own distinctive style. Every tune is superb hit. I've never stopped playing these songs.

Hi, MrBlond. Good to see a new face!
I came here for the old proto-metal stuff but I've since expanded to nearly right across the board. Recently, I've been adding lots of Canadian bands. What do you think of Chron Goblin or Wizards of Kaos? Both are stoner bands.
