The original Korean Oldboy. This film has its share of WTF moments, and although you asked for Hollywood this has to be a honourable mention at the very least. Went out for a meal one night in Korea where they cook it in front of you. There was a wok full of veges and stuff cooking away, and then the waitress came along and threw in a live octopus! Of course, it tried to climb out, so she was pushing all the tentacles back in. I must have looked horrified, because my Korean friend had a laugh at the look on my face. Yeah, it tasted really good.

I remember a meal out in the UK with my grandmother who ordered a seafood salad dish. Came with one of this mini-octopus as a centrepiece. Still remember the way she shrieked when it was put in front of her.
