Hi all, Not exactly a newbie as I was once active, but that was... quite a while ago (3 or 4 years by now, I think?). I've decided to come back because I miss talking about metal bands ranging from the mainstream to the underground without being confronted by blank faces and statements such as "Morbid Angel? Izzat the name of a drink?" or, on the opposite side of the spectrum, "You listen to Lamb of God? You're such a f*cking poser. In KVLT we trust." What you could infer from that is I'm open to all metal subgenres, and am keen to share my tastes and opinions whilst keeping an ear wide open to recommendations. Or, to put things differently... glad to be back :) My favourite bands currently include Primordial, Nile, Thy Catafalque, Behemoth, Opeth, Ahab, A Forest Of Stars, Obscura, Bolt Thrower, Gojira, Cult of Luna, Agalloch, Moonsorrow, Alcest, Morbid Angel, Amon Amarth, Mastodon, Wintersun, and of course, Iron Maiden (amongst many many others, of course).
