Here's 1971, a few bands released two albums in this year but I wanted to keep it one album per artist.

My vote goes to Master of Reality, which is one of my all time favorite albums, but with special mention for Budgie, Cactus, Fraction, Epitaph, and Eloy.

OMG. Too many greats here. I agree with Unitron. Master of Reality is one of my all time favorite albums but i love Led Zep, Budgie, Sir Lord Baltimore, Alice Cooper, Groundhogs, Flower Travellin Band and Bang. And really like almost every one. Only a few i haven't yet checked out

So many great albums from Sabbath, Groundhogs, Budgie, Uriah Heep, The Who and Wishbone Ash but it's Zep IV for me.

Always thought that Purple album was disapointing.

^ hmm, I missed IV off my notable mentions; one of my favourite albums of all time. I also really enjoy Fireball. Many don't seem to though.

I wouldn't call Fireball disappointing, but it did come after the groundbreaking In Rock. They only came to that level again with Machine Head.

Budgie's debut was *tight*, gotta respect it.
