Thought I'd make a formal discussion thread for stoner metal, so talk about your favorite stoner metal bands, new bands and albums, ask for recommendations, and even talk about simply stoner rock if you want to. As always, it should be kicked off with a classic: One of my favorite Clutch songs, and one of the best album openers. On topic this is not a genre I really know too much about. I own just one stoner metal album, that being Supernatural Birth Machine by Cathedral, which I picked up in a second hand shop some years ago. ^You may like Red Wizard's Cosmosis album, it mixes in a bit of that retro psychedelic/spacey sound that I know you seem to like. As usual I was delayed checking them out, but yeah, Red Wizard is pretty awesome. I've recently started exploring this genre properly. I've quite liking what I'm hearing so far and have even picked up a few albums off of ebay for my collection: ^ This is literally the heaviest album I've ever heard,   I also really liked this one from Wo Fat (I have a different Wo Fat album but it's more stoner rock) but the chances of getting this look slim as it seems to be out of print.
