I think it's time to give some appreciation to the underrated members of most metal bands, the bassists! As a bassist myself I usually pay a lot of attention to the bassists, and I don't think many of them get the attention they deserve. So list your favorites! In no order: Rob Trujillo (Suicidal Tendencies, Infectious Grooves, Metallica) Frank Bello (Anthrax) Michael Anthony (Van Halen) Dave Ellefson (Megadeth) D.D. Dan Lilker. Just look at the projects he's been involved in- Anthrax, Nuclear Assault, SOD, Brutal Truth, Exit-13, and lots of others. Love his style. Just in-your-face enough to be noticed, but not trying to steal the show. |
