Welcome Andrea. No Pat Travers pages! Hadn't realised that myself. I'm a fan and would say he should be here under hard rock. Have to look into that.

I'm a fan too.

"Go for what you know" is a terrific live album!

Hi Andrea! I'm fragilekings on PA. Welcome here. How hard rock is Pat? I've been curious about him but haven't gotten around to checking him out.

Thank you. Good to see you on MMA.

If you like hard rock from mid-seventies then Pat Travers is an excellent choice.

Just listen to the opener from his 1979 live album. It'll Kick your ass... (literally)

at The time the band consisted also of Pat Thrall as second guitarist.

I'll check it out. I'm interested in Canadian hard rock and metal from the seventies and eighties right now.
Didn't Thrall do an album with Glenn Hughes?

Yeah he did!

He stayed with Travers between 1978 and 1981.

Canadian HR? How about Mahogany Rush and Frank Marino?
Wonderful records they did!

Welcome, Atreju!

I saw Pat Travers open for Blue Oyster Cult & Ratt, all the way back in 1983 !!! Good times…

I'm Jbird on Progarchives, by the way Tongue

Your user name here reminds me of the band Atreyu, which the guy that owns another forum that I regularly post on was the guitar teacher for one of Atreyu's guitarists. Smile

Hi Jbird!!

I think that in 1983 Travers was touring for his "Black Pearl" album! Neglected by many (maybe for his version of Beethoven's The Fifth), for me is just another excellent record in his discography.

Actually, I heard about the band Atreyu but I don't own albums of them. Are they good?
