anybody saw him live ? he has a concert in my town in two days and i'd like to know if he's worth the money (without the rest of black sabbath) :)

I had a fun time when I went to his show in 2003 eventhough he obviously is not the greatest vocalist these days.  I was standing right in the front of the stage, so that helped my enjoyment.  It was when Jason Newsted was briefly in Ozzy's band, so I was right in front of him when he played with Ozzy and with openers Voivod.

The concert had a nice atmosphere to it, and the set list had a few interesting inclusions.  I have it written down somewhere.  I guess whether it's worth it or not is up to you and how much you want to spend.  I'd guess my tickets were in the $50 range for general admission, and I'd say I have no regrets.

about 30euros; well, he's not that young (hahaha) and i'm skeptical that his vocals will be as like in the good old days. anyhow, if he's gonna include in his playlist some of the black sabbath classics, it's ok - i guess he's the last one that still plays from the original line-up...or is he ?

well, Iommi and Geezer played with Dio (RIP) in Heaven & Hell.

yes, but they apparently split-up after dio died and i don't think they'll start playing once again (dio was too important for the band)

yes, right, unfortunately. Iommi has always been active, he'll start some project soon, hopefully. Smile

Apparently Ozzy has had talks with Iommi and Geezer about recording a new Black Sabbath album in order to bring his career full circle.

Can't help but feel sad when I see him. The years pass and Ozzy is slowly becoming mummied.
