Regarding Sepultura you should definitely check out their late 80s/early 90s albums. They are very different from what they did on Chaos A.D. (although I personally also love that album). Before Chaos A.D. Sepultura were one of the greatest brutal thrash metal (death-thrash) acts on the scene, and especially "Beneath the Remains" and "Arise" are considered classics in that genre.
