Loudtrax added 3 threads to MMA regarding the band Stone Sour.  I'm not familiar with this band, but when I tried looking them up on MMA I noticed that they weren't included.  AllMusic has them listed as Alternative Metal and describes them as a cross between Metallica and Alice In Chains.  http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=11:kzfwxqq0ldfe  They also have a new release titled Audio Secrecy.  Any thoughts on this band and whether they should be added or not?

Definitely at least worth considering. I've only heard one soft song by them (might have been a Corey Taylor solo track as well, though), but i've got a picture of them being at least pretty metallish. Will look into it.

I'm fine with them being here.  Definitely have as many metal moments as other alt bands from what I've heard.

They are not metal whatsoever. IMO
Lost respect for these archives when I saw Creed added, among other bands. Not going to be foruming here anymore. You can keep my reviews if you want.

^ I know where you are coming from they are a mixture of Hard Rock and Metal. Sometimes they are just soft rock throughout tracks. They are no where near as hard as Slipnot. They have been nominated three for Grammys  Those were for the singles" Get Inside" , "Inhale and 30/30-150 the last in 2006 for best Metal Performance.

^The Grammy's definition of metal is hardly one of expertise. And saying Stone Sour is not as hard as Slipknot, another band I would never call metal, doesn't help your case exactly.

Sir, you are either impaired through illegal pleasantries, in the wrong forum or a beast that tends to live under bridges in sheeps clothing Wink

^I'm just putting in my two cents. What would a forum be without differing opinions? I'm just saying my opinion because I wouldn't add a band to a metal site if it wasn't metal. Obviously you guys say Stone Sour is metal so add them.

I think that's why we have 'alternative' on the sub genre Smile

But yeah, fine, add.
