Sorcery (US Trad. Metal)

This group formed in 1976, I believe, out of the L.A. area. During their live sets they usually had 2 magicians (and at one point they even had 4) performing various illusions that usually went with whatever song was being played. 

They released 4 albums: 

Stuntrock Soundtrack (1978, this would be their debut) 

Sorcery 2 (1982, feat. David Glen Eisley of Giuffria fame) 

Sorcery Live (1983, aslo feat David) 

Rocktober Blood Soundtrack (1984, feat. Nigel Benjamin from Mott the Hoople) 

I only have their first album (or soundtrack album), but it is on par in my opinion to Judas Priest's Kill Machine/Hell Bent for Leather.
