HORSEBACK Complete New AlbumChapel
Hill, NCs HORSEBACK has completed the recording on their new full-length and
highly anticipated follow-up to 2009s 'The Invisible Mountain'. The album,
titled 'Half Blood' was described by mainman Jenks Miller as the bands
most ambitious record to date that represents a synthesis of the approaches
we've explored in the past. Truly a natural progression in their
increasingly prolific catalog, 'Half Blood' was self-recorded and produced by
Jenks Miller at The Chateau in the bands hometown. Additional tracking was done
at Arbor Ridge Studios and Track and Field Recording by Nick
Petersen. https://www.facebook.com/Horseback The
Invisible Mountain the same epic instrumental rock feel of Grails or Tarentel,
and Miller's vocals are so growled and low in the mix that at times they are
easy to mistake for another guitar. Both elements separate Horseback from the
usual swampy sound of drone rock." - The Wire |
