Whenever you set all of the reissues of Iron Maiden albums together, they form a picture of Eddie.
I've only ever seen a few other bands doing this; Judas Priest's make their cross logo, Megadeth's make Vic Rattlehead's face, and I've just found out that Saxon do it too.

Can anyone think of any other examples of this ?

Who likes it ?

...and who thinks its stupid ?

It's an interesting idea for sure, but I could take it or leave it.

IIRC either for the Megadeth or Iron Maiden albums (can't remember which) you had to arrange them backwards on a shelf for the picture to work, which I found annoying (i.e. they were orientated for making a stack with first album on top, not for putting on a shelf with first album on the left.)

I can't remember, but I think the ones that Maiden did had the image on both sides of the CD spine.  I'd have to dig for the few reissues I own, but that's what I remember.  I've only got the Megadeth re-issue for SFSGSW, so I don't know how they stack up.

I just checked and it was the Megadeth reissues I was thinking of... but I also never noticed they went in the other direction on the other side Shocked

^Actually it's Maiden too. And a couple of the spines are put in the wrong way so that  you have to put the cd in the shelf the front spine out for it to work, I think at least Donington was that way.

But it does look pretty good.
