Bug with Sub-Genre Album Lists?

I want to query about what decides the top albums in the sub-genre pages. Recently I noticed that some of the top lists completely changed overnight. In some subs it wasn't noticeable because they get more ratings (like prog metal), but in others that don't see so much attention, such as symphonic, the change was noticeable pretty fast.

Only the top 3 albums in symphonic have more than 1 5* rating now. Before there were a lot of other albums here with lots more ratings, most if not all with at least 1 review. Now there are a lot of albums there with just 1 5* rating (no review). I know we still kind of lack the amount of ratings needed to form a strong list, but this change just doesn't seem right. It has crossed my mind that this may be a bug (in that case an admin may want to move this thread to the report bugs section), but I wasn't sure so I decided to bring it up here.
