Axenrot's drumming is as barren as ever, a well-programmed drum machine sounds exactly the same, and you don't have to pay it every month. I still miss Lopez with his feel, listen to what he did on GR, a masterclass of flow!
Not gonna lie, this song is terrible to my ears, on par with their previous single, Cusp of Eternity, which was even more generic than this one but a little bit more engaging with its laaaa la la la laa laaa laaaaa. I miss the days when Opeth would never use a generic riff for more than 5 seconds.
