It's more like an Action adventure-RPG hybrid with puzzle elements. It's pretty unique, and I find it fun Smile

Now that the fifth season has started, any new opinion?

For my part, I'm trying to get the first volume of the novels at my library, but... Like the first volumes of the Walking Dead comics, I can never get my hands on it! I even tried to get the DVD (they got it at my library), but still the same problem! Angry

^I don't think I'm going to watch this season any time soon. GoT is a good series imo, but with every consecutive season it resembles more and more an extremely violent soap opera set in a fantasy world. A very good soap opera, but still!

My opinion on the show itself still stands, but this is going to be the season where we will really know if Benioff and Weiss (the two showrunners) are worthy of finishing the series, since they're now just about caught up with Martin, and apparently because of how slow books 4 and 5 are, they're going to be making huge changes, and so now we'll really get to see if they're up to the task. So far, most original material they've included throughout the series has been great, but this season for sure is going to be the toughest for them. The season premiere was solid, but not one of the show's better moments, though the last sequence was great.

Overrated? Not in my opinion but of course if you don't like fantasy (at least not fantasy beyond LotR) then you probably won't get the hype.

Exactly my situation; I do not like the fantasy type, dragons & dungeons type so I do not get the hype. And it's sometimes annoying for me to hear people babbling about it.
